Brutal Upper Body Kettlebell Workout – 20 Minutes – AMRAP – No Repeat

I hope you are all keeping well after the fun and frolics of the platinum jubilee celebrations this past weekend?

Now, that’s done and dusted its time to get back to work and this routine will definitely blow out those jubilee cobwebs, So you’ve been warned.

So what do we have in this weeks workout, I hear you ask?

Let me begin by telling you about AMRAP…

AMRAP Basics

AMRAP, or As Many Reps As Possible workouts are a simple and effective way to put in a lot of work in a short amount of time. An AMRAP can be performed for any length of time. This structure allows people to get creative with their workouts and easily scale them to be more difficult as your fitness level increases.

I think this style works really well with kettlebells, so there will be more coming up in the future. Apologies for that, haha.

What we have in the routine today are 14 exercises with non of them being repeated, now that’s my kind of workout right there.

It’s easy to forget what you can do with a single kettlebell and this workout is great for any fitness level.

No matter the weight, you can squat, hinge, row, push, press and swing through almost any exercise, while getting a heavy sweat on all with one moderate-to-heavy Kettlebell.

Tale Of The Tape

The 14 exercises in the routine today will give you a solid upper body workout all within the 20 minute time period.

What we are doing here are as many controlled reps as possible within the 40 second period, then rest for 20 seconds and prepare for the next drill.

Here is a run down of the exercises in the workout today:

  • Full pendulum
  • Feet Up Press
  • Bottom up press
  • Bent over row 2H
  • American swing
  • Dead bug
  • One arm pull x 2
  • Snatch x 2
  • Deadlift
  • Upright row
  • TGU & Down x 2
  • Lateral swing x 2
  • Clean x 2
  • Cross Curl x 2

Note: Exercises x 2 is performed for 40 seconds on one side of the body, then repeated on the other side for 40 seconds.

As you can see from the list above, you are getting a great workout that’s going to tick all the boxes when it comes to wanting a quality upper body blast!
