Kettlebell Back Workout – 10 Mins – Non Stop – Brutal EMOM Routine!
After the success of the 5 minute back workout recently, I thought I would continue with a 10 minute version to really give you a solid back workout.
Try the 5 minute workout here – 5 Minute Back Workout
As you are well aware, I love doing EMOM style workouts, as they work well for kettlebell routines.
This workout once again utilises the method of “every minute on the minute” by doing the exercise for 40 seconds, then taking 20 seconds off to prepare for the next onslaught!
EMOM, or every minute on the minute workouts are a simple and effective way to put in a lot of work in a short amount of time. An EMOM can be performed for any length of time.
This structure allows people to get creative with their workouts and easily scale them to be more difficult as your fitness level increases.
With the 10 minute back workout we have here, there’s no repeated exercises also, so it keeps the routine fresh and once you have completed the exercise in question, you can be rest assured it won’t be back on the menu…at least not today anyway!
10 minute Back Routine Details
In the workout today, there are 8 exercises to work through, as mentioned before there are no repeated exercises.
With the routine, you are getting a complete back workout with the use of just one medium to heavy kettlebell.
Which is awesome if you workout at home, or if you wanted to give this a go the next time you are at the gym.
The exercises on offer this time around are as follows:
- Pull over
- Row drop
- American swing
- Bent over row – single arm
- Single bell gorilla rows
- Row hold – single arm
- Bent over squeezed row
You are going to be working the back completely here, so if its gets to the point where you aren’t able to keep up for any reason, take a break and prepare for the next exercise.
With two of the exercises here (Bent over row & Row hold), you will be using one arm for the exercise, then switching sides for the next round.
